New weapons, new skill sets and new game characters, including Hunk, open up new depths of the 'Reid' mode. The 'Raid' mode, first introduced in the series in the original version of Resident Evil Revelations, allows players to play on the network in cooperative mode or alone in single-player mode, perform various tasks and defeat hordes of enemies, raise the level of characters and improve weapons.

The game takes place before part five in 2005, and after the total destruction of the ultra-modern sea-based city of Terragrigia by terrorists using old Umbrella. This latest version of Resident Evil Revelations also contains additional materials, including formidable new enemies, an additional level of complexity, integration with and improvements for the 'Raid' mode.
